Start again: hello everyone, we make one off race helmets and also run a race team. We have just brought our Superteen rider a zxr 400h
It looks dated and requires a fresh look. I like the a kits on eBay but 6week waiting list. I want moto3 look ie rs250 style like one guy on here has already achieved. I want to know what people that customise them use ie what bolts on easy and what is a pain in the ass. We are yet to play around with the bike as it's being rebuilt and tuned ready for 2014. We need fairings ASAP as in two weeks the bike comes back and we prep for Spain (testing) I'm a genuine guy looking for assistance in this ?

Well done.................so much better.

Sadly I know little of fitting alternative bodywork...................there was once a 400 Honda racing here with bodywork from a MotoGP Honda fitted to it think it was the first V5 bike :smt017
Looked jolly good too

Pick the look you want and make it fit

And they call it mellow yellow. :smt020

This is quite ironic, as cargo has seen the brackets I had to get made just to get the standard ZXR bodywork back on to my bike properly, I fooked around with different fixings and washer combinations for about a week to make it fit well, but also to make sure it was easy to refit each time I remove it and that it fitted securely. That would be my worry about a different body kit, it might end up being a pain in the ass to refit each time.
I don't think the ZXR looks dated, ZXR400 and KR1S are still two of the best looking bikes on the road, anyway, if you needed assistance on fooking around with the standard bodywork, I've become heroic at that, as for kits, sorry, fookin clueless :smt003
Does the low seat height reflect the low intelligence? Easier to get an asshole onto.

You could buy plenty of bikes with no personality, boring but solid, but all here have a ZXR, fun, more fun, with bags of personality.
You could join a forum with no personality, where members simply answer your questions :smt017 , no fun at all, I mean can you imagine the sheer dullness without the sarcasm, let's face it the ZXR is a cheeky git, as should be it's owners.

Agree totally! Zxr is a bike that on paper is lets be honest, pretty crap, 65bhp compared to what other bikes are putting out isn't great, but as soon as you hit 12k it all changes, I can keep up with 600s and 1000s easily in the corners, and as im so small (50kg) am not far behind at all on acceleration, love it, so glad I didn't get a 600, think it would have been more scary than fun

I've fitted lots of different fairings onto different bikes , the zxr400 I personally found one of the worse to update and fit different fairings to. Don't get me wrong , we did it on our bike. But compared to other bikes its not as easy. The alternator cover and the radiator are too wide for the height they are set at for other fairings.
We currently run a 4 week production time on all of our kits , I can get you a kit made in your time scale of 2 weeks , but do you then have enough time to fit it ?
Would you be better off testing and then fitting your kit and giving yourself more time ?
