What type of paint and where from

Perhaps this has been discussed at somepoint already if anyone can point me towards the thread.

I'm embarking on spraying up some new track bodywork and Ive decided to adopt a (semi) professional approach by using a spray gun. Ive done a few jobs before over the years and have achieved surprisingly good results with good quality aerosols. I know I gotta prime etc (with aerosols cos its easy) but after that the different paint choices are a blur of choices. I'll most likely use white and black, but what sort do I use and who are good suppliers (on price and quality) Ive seen some stuff that state it doesnt require a lacquer but personally I'd rather finish with a good clear lacquer. Thinners, activators ...somebody bestow their hard earned knowledge on me please!
