No spark

Hi all I've got a project bike 199 zxr400 L9, we've been putting in back together all the wires look ok but when it turns over there's no spark anybody got any ideas where to look. Thanks

got power to coils
cdi ok
battery fine
any other electrical issues
spark plugs ok
checked coil primary and secondaries
plug caps ok
UK ZXR400 L3 (1993) - Fully restored and on the roads, my green beast!

We have 12v going to both coils, and about 9v coming out when cranking, (have fitted new coils).
Have put a 2nd cdi unit on
Brand new battery
Only other electrical issues it there is no horn or indicators

Check all the earths for corrosion etc

Banner actually did a rather excellent wiring diagram that you can find in The electrical section.

I’d just follow the path of power to the plugs and see where it stops.

Failing that could be something telling the cdi not to supply power. Cut out switch etc

I have checked and cleaned all the wires and earths.
I have even attached jump leads to the engine to the earth of the battery to eliminate a earth issue.
I have checked the cut out switch which is working plus the neutral and side stand switches are working
I have been checking the wiring to the CDI unit, seems to be getting a signal from the crank sensor, the other lives and earths look seem to be correct.
Could it possibly be the CDI and fuse box being incompatible as I don't know where they came from.

So have found the issue, the fuse box on the bike was a 4 fuse fusebox which is only for pre 1994, my bike being a 1999 needed the bigger fuse box. I changed the fuse box and the bike fire straight away 😁
