KMS to MPH

Post by wellybob »

Iam planning on changing my speedo from a kms to a mph unit, is there anything else I need to change apart from the speedo unit itself?

do you have an import bike?

if so by changing your clocks you will drop yourself to 10k rpm unless you make one of the modifications listed in the top 3 sticky threads here:
viewforum.php?f=164

if you have a pink wire going to the clocks you will need to de-restrict it.

there are speedohealers available (or used to be) that reduce the revolution of the speedo cable by 1.6x, making your "kph" readings equal to mph. as you would be keeping the clocks wired in, and wont be hitting 180mph anytime soon, you will have no electronic restrictions on your rpm or speed.
