As a pure guess I'm going to say no, but by swapping the stems over you might get them to fit then.

Pretty much everything can be made to fit anything else. Best bet is buy them, see what the differences are and go from there.

I. E. All you might need if for a machine shop to make you a spindle that's the length of the zxr one, and the same internal size, threaded the same, but with the bottom thickness compatible with the 636 clamps.

It’s usually even easier than that. The ZXR400 has 47mm o/d taper roller bearings top and bottom, although it could be 55mm. I can’t remember off the top of my head. Measure the stem of the yokes you want to fit for the internal diameters and then either look them up on eBay (or Simply bearings if non on eBay) or check the Allballs racing chart although it’s not always correct.

I’ve done a ZXR400 and an R6 conversion on gpz750s.

much appreciated chaps,

I currently run genuine SP Forks, but i'm looking to carry out a an engineering exercise and put the race bike on a major diet.

So i'm looking at all areas tbh.

I've already done the obvious this such as

Front calipers
Rear Caliper mod
Total Loss
Li-po Bat

Next is fuel cell
Wheels / forks

I may be mistaken but i think the 05 636 forks are a direct fit into the 400 triples, so this may be the best compromise, for overall weight saving and practicality.

Any further advice is always appreciated
