fitting different shock

Post by rockerted »

just a thought, when i fitted an r6 shock to the fzr400 i had, that had a larger mounting bolt, i.e. 12mm, so as the r6 was for instance 10mm, we put two little sleeves in the mount and just used the 10mm bolt..hope that makes sense??ted
you can strap a monkey to a rocket, but that dosn,t make it a pilot!!

i did similar putting a 600rr shock in a cbr 400 rr where eye to eye length went from 290 to 320mm and had to shim the top eyebolt down. ive now got a zxr400 and looking at new shock, do these have same length and straight swap for the R6 (apart from the bolt?)
