Got a new brake light switch off a zx7-r which im pretty sure is identical. Tried to hook it up and nothing....light not working. Any way to test if the switch works? Or if the other half of the circuit is working? I went down pretty hard and it ripped the switch straight off the bike so the contacts are a little crooked, but surely as long as they touch then it should work?
Cheers

disconnect the wiring from the switch there is 2 terminals, bridge em with a paperclip or something metal and the light should come on, if it does your switch is buggered.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

He means that the front brake still illuminates the bulb therefore the bulb is not broken,.................................

It's not the most complicated circuit in the world... Just trace the wires to find the fault.
