What Callipers fit ZXR400? (6 pot!)

Post by _John_ »

Hi, I’m after some better callipers for my ZXR as the ones ive got now are shagged and I might as well up grade while im at it. I know for my RGV a lot of the Suzuki range fit like TL1000 6 pot’s for example. Are there any 6 pots or even good 4 pot callipers that fit strait onto the ZXR400 L.?

My calipers need an overhaul this winter with new pistons and seals although I too was thinking of putting something better on. Anybody know what fits straight onto a H2 :?:
138mph and it still goes :D

The standard calipers are wicked as they are, keep em!! Six pots were only a phase, only fat lardy bikes like the hayabusa have em, and my zx7r!

ZXR400H brakes. In sexy gold with larger pads than the standard L model ones.

ZX6R F model , remember to upgrade your master cylinder to 5/8 size (that's if you're talking about the front brakes).

Thanks guys, lots of good advice there (unlike my response at 400GB?)

The ZX6R F ones looks mint :D and as a side note means the KR1-S ones also fit (but why would I want those :? )

zxr400er: Do you just use the H ones because that’s all the racing rules allow you?

Thanks again guys, will let you know how I get on.

PS: don’t stop the suggestions coming

Give this chap a ring he's breaking 4 ZXR's it says in the advert he's gotta have a decent rear caliper.

easy now,

i bought an old caliper off ebay from ams motorsport, he even took the time to polish it all up for me, only £20, so it will have to do till i get new pistons...its juts my caliper LOOKS better!

pooscooper - which chap? theres no link ha ha!

at a guess it may be specializedchick off ebay, whom i deal with all the time, he lives in leeds and gets loadsa zxr400's in every week, so far got mirrors, exhausts, brakes from him!

oh and a single seat cowl and pillion seat, so im goona knock together a locking single seat cowl and butcher the pillion seat to do it, armed with a glass fibre repair kit. had to settle on gloss black as kwack dont do the black purple touch up paint anymore, just touch up pens!
