Hi all,
Advice needed. I have a set of CBR600F4 Nissin front calipers I have spent all morning trying to fit to my ZXR 400 L3.. This was only meant to be a quick job..
I have been having two small (large it seems currently) problems.
Please can someone advice if I need to file the caliper slightly as it seems when I tighten everything up they lock the front wheel solid...
I remember seeing a fitting guide somewhere but I have spent over an hour searching..
My second problem is bleeding the front calipers. I have tried everything and the brake lever just has nothing... Its goes straight back to the bar with no pressure at all.
Any advice welcome.
Thank you all in advance!

Did you use sleeves/ spacer to offset the calipers?

Re: CBR600F4 Nissin front calipers
To use these calipers you either need tophat spacers to use the original bolts (from the 600) or you re-tap the calipers to take the larger zxr400 bolts. If you go this way you still need a spacer (1.2mm IIRC) to centre them on the discs (worse with EBC Prolites) or they do what you are describing.
I posted a diagram of the spacer dimensions a few years ago.. should be available using the search function

Hi JSG39
Did you ever get the cbr calipers on.
If so, how did you do it?
Idiot proof instructions welcome.
(My 400l,s brakes are proverbial chocolate kettle.)
Thanks
