I've got a rear paddock stand, and had the rear wheel off a few times for various things, and can see the new chain and the rear sprocket should be straightforward.
But it's the front sprocket that i'm a bit worried about.

In the manual it says you need a special tool to get the sprocket off. How essential is this - or what else can i do/use to make getting it off easy???
So, step by step, it's : side lower fairing off, gear lever assembly off (?), covery-bit unscrewed and off.....
Then what do i do in respect of getting the front sprocket off???
