Hey guys, Just putting my bike back together - but not sure if the front spindle is fitted correctly.
The one side is flush (opposite the speedo mounting) - however the side by the speedo mounting isn't - Is it supposed to be ???
At present it looks like this:
Should it be flush like this ?
thanks

sure the spindle has a lip on it mate to stop you threading it too far through, looks fine to me!

Re: Front spindle fit ?
Have you got the spindle in the right way round ?
It should push in from the right side of the bike as you sit on it..................I suspect there is a difference

bugger the bit in question is on the right hand side of the bike as i look at it from the front ! so it needs to be swapped over then ?

yep, the loose nut goes on the speedo side. make sure the speedo mech is sitting right. good to get it up on a front stand then you can spin it to make sure its good.

Re: Front spindle fit ?
nice one cargo, swapped spindle, now fits flush
bit weird - when i tightened the spindle up past hand tight the speedo would slip out of the notches, and start spinning with the wheel, but then when i slackened it off, the speedo sat in the notches again fine ! so left it a bit slacker, then tightened up the 8mm bolts at the bottom of the fork legs
