ive got a nail in my back tyre, its about 2cm from the edge, is this repairable or will it need a new one?

Re: nail in rear tyre
As long as its not in the sidewall these can normally be repaired. They cut a hole out and stick a rubber 'bung' in it. works good as new by all accounts.

2cm from the edge sounds quite close - you could always plug it yourself using one of these kits http://jocke.selincite.com/bikes/puncture-repair-kits. We've used them several times on several different bikes with no problems at all

I think it only costs a tenner to get done, be cheaper if you take in the wheel seperately too.
