Anyone tried some BT016's?

Post by The_Doctor »

I bought my zxr a few weeks back and the tyres had very little tread so I've finally got round to researching the tyres I want. The bike came with pirelli diablo supercorsa pros fitted which have been great but I want a Supersports/Hypersports tyre rather than a trackday tyre. Just wondering if anyones tried or got any info on the BT016's which im thinking of getting. Looking at pirelli diablos aswell - havent made up my mind yet! Any info or advice would be great.

Thanks guys

Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

dunlop alpha 10's mate !

cant say how long they last.. but sticky as hell.. and good in the wet too..

or bridgestone 090's used these religiously for years before jumping ship to the dunlops.

thinking about 016's for the 600, dont like ZR rated tyres on 400's. (super corsa's dont count they arent really road tyres)

iv had a bt-016r for the rear, was the grippiest tyre iv ever had for the 1st 1000 odd miles, then the grip started to fade, 2 months on and the tyres now knackered, probably because i do alot of straight line motorway miles.. anyway i managed to get 3000miles out of it.. im now looking to get a set of harder compound bt-021s so i can commute in all weathers as well as keeping tyre wear down, i wouldnt reccomend the bt-016s unless you live around or near the lanes, or maybe if your a sunday biker.
