WHEELS

Post by alimcgoo »

Hi there! I've got an L5 Race bike and got a spare set of wheels with it. I tried to fit the front wheel today but found that it is loose on the spindle. When i tighten it up there is about a 2mm gap between the spacers and the forks and i can move the wheel from side to side on the spindle. When i compared it to the wheel that fits it seems that it is slightly different. i'm wondering if this wheel is from an H model? The code on my wheel that fits is F-1286 and the one that dosen't is F-1250. Is there any way to make this wheel fit on my L5? Can i get a spacer made or use a spacer from an H model???

Any help much appreciated!

have you cheaked its not just the bearings inside... if it moves on the spindle it could mean that it is just the bearings have gone ... normally anyway

It's deffo not the bearings. The whole wheel can move about 2mm along the spindle because the spacers have a 2mm gap between them and the forks. The wheel has slightly different dimensions than my other one.
