i have a zxr 400 l3 my problem clutch works but i cant get first gear hmmmmm

1. I'm glad you specified ZXR in the topic title, I might have been totally confused as to what bike you have.

2. Bit more info would be helpful.
Approx mileage?
Any recent maintenance carried out?
When did it last run?

someone has not put the gear selector rod on upside down, i.e. "race-pattern" have they?
UK ZXR400 L3 (1993) - Fully restored and on the roads, my green beast!
JPN ZXR250 A2 (1990) - Revs to 19,200rpm... 'nuff said :smt003

Or fastened it at an angle as this can stop it going in gear
