Re: Clutch noises?
It's not a thrust nut it's just a nut and I've never heard of one coming lose.
ZXR400 clutches can be very nosy.
Maybe perhaps you could describe the noise more clearly..............for example does the noise change when you lift the clutch..............(pull the lever in)
Does the noise change as you rev the bike ?
Is it just there at a very specfic revs?
Have you changed adjusted or worked at anything on your bike that might now be causing it to be nosy ?

Re: Clutch noises?
well i had to adjust the clutch the other week cos the bike would creep forward when in gear and the clutch was fully pulled in. I took the bike out tuesday didnt notice anything, took it out thursday and i can hear this noise. Its mainly at around 3,000 revs and its like a gargling type of noise, like a bolt may be loose or something spinning that type of noise. I have had to adjust my clutch again too.

Re: Clutch noises?
sounds like a zxr400 clutch.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

Re: Clutch noises?
whoever told you thrust nut probably meant thrust bearing. But its defo not that, theres a plate in the clutch that does it.
Was a new clutch installed recently? I friend of mine took his back to get it sorted under warranty, cured it for about 3 days then it just came back.
