Post by fzalfa »

hi

i have experimented pinging at about 15-15500 rpm, is it normal ? too high rev ?

what do you mean by "pinging" ? and what ignition are you running thats allowing the bike to rev to over 15,000rpm ?

H model rev counters over-read, stock ignition limits to 14,500rpm.. before my clock was calibrated it would show over 16,000 !

FWIW, my H1 runs to 15,500rpm with raised compression and loads more ignition advance than stock and doesnt "ping" at all.

probably would, but at what point ? who knows .. ive only run mine on super since doing the work on it.. and after lots of messing and dialling in more and more advance.. its not detonated or started "pinking/pinging"..

think my point was that he's probably twatting it off the 14.5k limiter, (and has an optimistic tacho) rather than pinking due to excessive revs.

too bad....
in fact i was in reserve, no more fuel........must turn the switch

i must be the only guy who buy a brand new sparkplug when the engine won"t run correctly....and it was to esay to switch the fuel to res.....the bad habitude with experiment issue with two stroke engine....
