I have removed my cylinder head to replace the gasket, now I have two cams, a chain and a head and I am not sure how I can make sure they are all aligned to the TDC.
On the end of the crank there is a small locating lug for the timing and on the cams there are two cut-outs, I suspect that these are used to line up the tdc, but I am not sure if they should all be at the top or what? There is also a drilled mark on the generator flywheel, which if I put to the top, means that the two centre pistons are at the bottom and the outer ones at the top.
I have not messed with the valves or rockers. I can hand turn the crank using the genny.
many thanks

as far as i know its a mix up of getting all the timing marks lined up, check the manual out on the main site, it will say exactly in there what you need to line up for the timing.
