My L model rebuilt basket case had the coils (and inner fairing panel brackets) held on by goodwill and high hope.
Anyone know a botch up, spare part repository, tip, trick, any of the above to mount the coils and inner fairing securely? the original part (the one that was left) is a rubber shroud with a circular female thread held in it.
Any tips or know where I can get something similar?
M?

yes, goto a local bike shop preferably a kwak dealer, they are called 'well nuts' or 'top hats' and are less than a quid to buy if memory serves me correctly. Pretty common part across kwaks, more so that where i bought mine didnt even keep em in a stock room but in a little pot behind the counter instead.
Oh, and im sure they are less than a quid each to buy.

I presume they get pushed into the frame spars on a pretty regular basis. Keep a bike long enough and you'd prob have loads rattling round in there.

I had this issue also, thanks for letting me know what they're called!
I know the post is old but I thought of a good botch up! Get a chunk of blue-tac, put a hole into it, then put a metal nut into the hole to act as the thread and squish it into the frame
