My bottom end is rattling and before I replace the engine I want to strip it to see why and if I could fix

I've done the HG before but never been any further ,
Anyone advise me on the bottom end strip please
Is there a guide to stripping the bottom end ?

Bottom ends don't rattle or at least that's not the word I would use to describe a noise in the bottom end.
I think it's possible to get a look at the big ends and mains without removing the top end. I've never done it but I think it's doable.
To actually remove the crank and mains you would prob need a full strip not that hard to do.....................but some level of competence would be handy.
