near as dammit, yes, its the same engine...
gear ratios may be slightly different, cam profiles are meant to be different (better), carbs are smaller, no oil cooler, crank meant to be heavier... 13,500 rpm redline on the clocks, but limiter set to 14,500rpm like zxr's,
engine number is stamped above clutch cover instead of by the oil filter
