600 engine swap zxr 400 h???

hi im looking for some inrormation regarding a 600 transplant into my zxr 400 h. after 2 years off the road i finally got my baby back on the road so was not happy when no1 little end decided to go and take out my conrod and crank with it within an hour of it getting a fresh mot and tax!ive seen a few zxr's with the 600 donkey in but im not sure exactly what model of engine to use or if its even worth the hassle? or my other option is to repair and upgrade my knackerd 400 to produce more power? any help or advice will be appreciated many thanks andy

Hi Andy,

Unless your doing a full strip on your bike I wouldn't go for a donor (other) engine. Drop your 400 lump out and get a big bore kit for it

Least amount of work and a good extra oomph into the bargain.

I'm going to be sending a complete H bottom end over soon with head,cams and barrels (barrels need honed , re-bored or new sleeve for '#1) so look out for it on FeeBay, if you want to do a repair/rebuild on your own motor.
