Gaskets
Hi just got my new base gasket (the metal one where the clinder heads are) and the stupied postwoman has bent it by folding it.
Just really wanted to know if it is still alright to use it, probably is just prob worring to much lol!

Re: Gaskets
would have thought it'd be ok by the time you've torqued the bolts down.depends how bad the bend is and if its warped it?

Re: Gaskets
if its been properly folded, and is creased, i'd chuck it, if its just a bit "bent" it's probably fine ..
pics arent big enough to see properly.

Looks ok to me
I'd leave it out anyway,,,,,,,,,, a bit of sealer........... and you'll lift your compression a little.............more whoooosh for you pound

Re: Gaskets
Cheers guys again.
I got it from Cradley
If I do choose to leave it out and put some sealant there, to increase the compression will i need to get it dyno'd, or will i need to change anything else at all?
