Few months ago for no reason my bike just died while riding it, dropped revs etc and wouldn't bump more than once, after pissing around discovered it was the stator, so I replaced it... same problem so i replaced it again with another new one and tested the resistance which was in line with the manual! also checked to make sure there weren't any opens or closes on the circuit (ie no broken links and not earthing) there wasn't.
next was to check the rotor, it is spinning on the crank and has enough pull to pull the cover onto it when it's near!
I've tested the charging directly from the generator via the 3 phase plug when it's disconnected and connected nothing in DC or AC.
The generator cover gets very hot when idling for 3mins and there is NO sign inside of friction being caused.
Any ideas?
