Hi i've got my engine in bits after the head gasket went. well i bought it like it! is there anyway i can check the pump while i've got the engine in bits? just wanna make sure it's ok. or do these not fail? Cheers Daz

It's a fairly simple pump just make sure it turns and it should be OK.................there is an internal seal on the drive shaft but I can't think of a way to check it outside of having it on a running engine and looking for leaks.

Went you fit it to the engine use a new "O" ring
