This may be a stupid question (so I apologise if it is), but does anyone have any recommendations on which brand/type is best for the ZXR? I know it has to suitable for aluminium (obviously) but should it also be silicate free? Are all brands pretty much the same or are there differences I should look out for?
Not sure exactly what coolant is in the bike at the moment because it hasn't been changed since I've owned it but keeping with the service manual I want to try and give it a flush out every 2 years.
Best coolant/antifreeze?

Re: Best coolant/antifreeze?
i use the blue concentrate from halfords, suitable for aluminium radiators and has never given me any problems.
if you use concentrate make sure to use distilled water to make up the % you require.

Cheers banner,
I'm thinking of going with this stuff- http://www.castrolmoto.com/en/products/moto_coolant.php
It's pretty cheap and comes pre-mixed, although I can't seem to find anywhere whether it contains silicates or not :/
