only wants a little of coolant

just drained all the coolant out of my bike. filled it back up. only wants to take 1 little. ran the bike up. still full. squeezed all the pipes. still full!

any ideas how i can get the air lock out of my bike or have i missed something?

are you filling it from the radiator or the expansion bottle?did you actually drain it all out?did you run it up enough for the thermostat to open?
i usually just run it with rad cap off and squeeze the pipes and never had any problems.

i drained it from the drain plug on the water pump. filled it in the top of the radiator. i ran it up for about 5-10 mins or so and it went down about an inch. will give the cap off and sqeezing the pipes a go 2mora after work i think

Im not sure taking the pump out will fully drain the coolant, there are a couple of bolts that come out from the front of the cylinder block to drain coolant, you may still have had some in there.

according to the manual there are two drain bolts on the front of the cylinder block as well (h manual on main site) that need undoing as well
