Fan Switch

Post by smarties »

Hi I'm looking for some help / advice
My fan has stopped working and will no longer come on when my engine heats up. I have shorted the wires together and the fan spins ok. I am assuming this means that the fan switch is dead? If this is right where can I get a replacement? How do I check that it is the switch and not something else?

Grateful for any help!

Hi,
If the fan doesnt spin when the rad is hot u could try flushing the system out and cleaning the sensor thats on the rad. a replacement is about 70 quid form Cradley Kawasaki

Peace

all i done was put a switch on the fairing infil and connected it to the switch wires. i can switch it on whenever i want that way.
anything is possible with enough time and money. and an open mind...

either do a manual switch up near the top yoke, or as said a replacement swithc is £70, but the fella at AMS does them for about £5-£10 if he's got one that is working.
These things are sent to try us!!
