Problems after fitting dyno jet kit

Post by Neelfy »

Fitted Stage 1 Dyno Jet Kit, followed instructions to the letter.

Bike now has flat spot about low - mid range.

No probs at lower and top range, acceleration is very good at higher revs.

Bike is a 1999 L9 with K&N Filter and standard exhaust.

Can anyone give any tips?

Cheers.

Can i ask a silly question

What do you think you are gaining by fitting a Dyno jet kit ( did the bike run badly before

Did the bike run okay standard and have you fitted a K.N air filter sorry just read youre post again

First thing take the filter out put a standard filter back in then try the bike should run a bit better with a decent air filter in then you will need to take it to a decent Dyno centre they should be able to set the bike up sounds like the needle needs lifting up a notch to take out the flat spots

Hope this helps

Problem Solved.

DROPPED the needle 1 notch and now runs fine.
It was running too rich at low-mid range e.g. when asking for HP.
