Carbs

Post by Russ »

Hi all,
Stripping the carbs for a clean and on checking the jets noticed they were 90's. Manual says 98 is standard with options but 90 is not one of them. Has anyone else noticed this or has someone buggered about with them in the past? Might explain the why the bike bogged down at 8k and would only accelerate very slowly at high revs.
Help appreciated. :smt017

Just in case anyone is interested I sorted it by putting stock 98 mainjets in. Runs like a dream now. What muppet had put 90's in I dont know. I do know that now in all gears it heaves right up to the redline with no flat spots. :smt003
