ANOTHER fueling question

Post by CrazyChris »

Right guys. Back to G model. Running the 32 carbs for the sake of being clear. Been struggling like hell to get her to run properly and finally I can say I am very very close. Just one thing that I need help with. Every time I take her for a test ride she goes ok (ish) but when I get back home the bike straight forward refuse to idle, then floods. Running the screws (dunno if its fuel screws or air screws, jury is still out on that I think) at 2 turns. Standard air filter but with a full BEET system of a ZXR400. Can someone please advise on how to get the bike to idle after a ride. Thanks.
P.S. It does the same from 3 turns all the way down to 1.5 turns

Have you upped the idle speed?
As far as i know, the idle speed should be set when the bike is warmed up.
Stop fucking with the air/fuel mix and ride the bike until warm, increase the idle speed until bike idles.

Been there. Would get her nice and warm and while keeping her going with the throttle I'd adjust the idle screw. Still no joy. Its either idling at 3-4k or dead.
