Swapped engines but new lump has no carb heaters ?

Post by spudboy6 »

I've just swapped my engine as my one had a bottom end gone

So my bike was a l-9 with carb heaters , the new lump must be an early model that doesn't have the outlet for the carb heaters on the block below the inlets next to the stat housing

Can I just fit my original carbs and block the heaters off ?

Any help would be great as I would love to get that lump in !

Yes

Just blank off the plumbing in the cooling system...............if you like you can remove the piping from the carbs too or leave it if you wish

Thanks , out if interest I presume now all zxr409 had the carb heaters so does that mean there is a special longer water hose available for it ?

Checked the L3 parts pic and there is REF3062f
But no info in the price grid below its not even mentioned ?
