ZXR 400 L2

Hi, all the way from South Africa.

I bought a ZXR 400 L2 from a guy that well fell over and broke the generator cover.... i have now replaced what needed replacing and it was running ok for a while, but when it warmed up it started backfiring so i took carbs off to try and clean them and then noticed that two air screws had broken off. I got new carbs cleaned and balanced them but the bike wont run properly.

Symptoms:
Idles a bit low and when you rev it the revs hang for a while before returning
under load it starts to accelerate and about 3500 revs it starts to miss firing and wont accelerate anymore.

Could anyone help me on this ive had the carbs of 10 times to clean and then checked if they are balanced correctly.

Sounds like your pilots are running lean, turn the air screw out half a turn or so, try setting it back to standard
