airbox/shock

Post by tonytriker »

anyone give me some advice? just picked up a zxr400h1 and when i removed the airbox i saw the 4 airbox to carb rubbers had been ill-fitted onto/into the carbs and were distorted so badly i cant get them circular again, even by warming them up. can i shave the damaged parts off or do i need to get some others? if i need new ones, has anyone got any? i see a few people have fitted race airboxes so someone must have the old rubbers kicking around doing sod all!!!! :)
also the rear shock is as soft as butter.....whats the dimesions of it: length, top/bottom mounting dimensions? and again, has anyone got one laying around looking lonely... ;)
thanx

Yo,

You see that advert banner near the top of this page?
You can get carb rubbers from there.

Chuck a "Wanted" ad in the Classified section for a shock. viewforum.php?f=177.
