Re: whats your zxr wieght??
every single bolt even the fairing and brake bolts has been drilled, total loss with the cdi under guage cluster for less loom ( cluster made from aluminium as well ) no starter, drilled every unnessacery pice of weight off it how ever i can still shed a bit from rear tail assy, no flywheel, even has a 190 rear wheel ( + in weight
) light weight farings, no airbox etc, skimed foam from seat, all casting slag removed, aluminium blank sproket, braded lines including rear suspension res line ( havnt fitten this shock yet how ever ) light weight prosport LITE temp guage .... it seriousley just keeps going
i said id shed pounds before gaining power ( thus giving me time to get my exp up - im determend to build a 444 eating 400 )
yea i know by now your just thinking another :wanker
but i am dead serious

Re: whats your zxr wieght??
Good stuff.
I need to remember to weigh mine at some point, as it's in standard trim for what is probably the last time. Need a reference weight to see how much the stuff I have planned saves.
I think I'll probably pass on drilling the brake bolts though

Re: whats your zxr wieght??
lol, they were done bythe guy before me and he ran 2 seasons ( even 3 races with 444 kit - then snaped a rod
) with them drilled and didnt have a problem, they havnt got much taken out, i beleve is 4mm from a 10mm bolt, all the rear suspension bolts and engine mount bolts are done too
lol but the bigest saving was the swing arm bolt

Re: whats your zxr wieght??
That's all nice, but how much do YOU weigh?
I lost about 10kg in weight last year and all my bikes were faster
But I did hae to buy lots of new clothes and leathers though..
Anyone else notice how Rossi is now wafer thin (like a waif!) on the 800s now, compared to his muscliness on the 990s? That's dedication. Mind you, looks like his best mate Ucchio to eats all the pies now!

Re: whats your zxr wieght??
138kg ? wow mine at last MOT was 97x2 all fluids and 1/2 tank of fuel , all std. road bike , i find it hard to imagine how you managed to loose around 50kilos and retain steel wheels
