I'm still not entirely sure whether I trust it! Bloody stuff is dry and undetectable before I get to the start point on my chain even with the bike on my wheel-spinner thingy! They could have sold me a very expensive can of nothing but propellant for all I know!

Never used wurth, but have used like waxy stuff. That i dont like because it never looks like its actually lubricated like it does with a good bit of oil.

Re: Wurth Dry Chain Lube
I used wurth universal lube and found out it didnt stick around for long, not used the dry chain lube. I just use constant velocity grease on mine now n then its good for ages.
If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

Re: Wurth Dry Chain Lube
Hi,
The best chain lube i've ever used. I've been using it constantly for 3 years now with no problems. If you're like me and like to keep the butt end of the bike clean (cleaning white wheels is a pain in the bum eh?) then this is by far the best stuff to get. I've tried so many chain lubes where they say "unti-fling" on the back of the can? BOLLOX it's all bollox don't believe that crap. Wurth dry chain lube is the way to go.... trust me
Oh by the way, it also cleans the chain aswell like a degreaser as you spray it on.
Regards
Rich

Re: Wurth Dry Chain Lube
I've used Motul chain lube and found it was very sticky and when putting it on it was very thin and watery so it penetrated well..........it was mostly solvent but it was good for a quick spray between races.
Now I use a Castrol chain wax I get it free from a mate that services car washes....................if it's free it's the best....................thats why I never believe bike product advertising when some super star or other recommends something it's bullshit they get paid and the product comes for free so it's is the best untill they get something else for free.
Rant over
I must get some of this dry stuff and try it.............................. hate cleaning wheels ....................I always try and get my pit crew to do it

Re: Wurth Dry Chain Lube
Cheers guys!
It really is totally dry so there won't be any fling-off at all.
I like the idea of the tech behind it - (going from memory) it's got a low-build molecular structure, so it won't 'stick' to the usual lumps of crud and keep them on your chain like a grinding paste. I don't think I'd recommend it for anyone who forgets to lube their chain very often, because it seems like the best way is to keep track of miles-between-lubes and give it a spray anyway.
Or I might actually fit the LoobMan to this bike...

Re: Wurth Dry Chain Lube
i was going to ask about the loobman LOl, the stuff i've got is like wd40 but dries to a sticky wax, i prefer to see whats going on my chain so i know i haven't missed any.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

Re: Wurth Dry Chain Lube
I alway try to lube my chain when it's hot seems to me that will help with penetration and it's ready to go next time out

I think most of them recommend you lube the chain just after a run so it's hot, and then leave it for 20 mins before riding again.cargo wrote:I alway try to lube my chain when it's hot seems to me that will help with penetration and it's ready to go next time out
