I tend to spread my mileage around a bit (in an attempt to justify having this many bikes!), probably did about 2k miles on the 125 last winter, and i've been riding my fiancee's GPz since the start of september while I accumulate some parts for the ZXR!

Mine's around 98,000 miles. :smt004

I'm quite looking forward to seeing it go all the way around!!! :smt003

I think I've done about 6000 myself since I bought it in July....

Oh, for those that don't know, it's a '91 VFR750 FM.

Mines got 4,178miles on it - i got it in April with just 2k on clock - feels so much nicer than my old banger which had 33k on it, poor little thing had been abused too. :smt009

I remember reading something about a long-distance courier who did 850,000 miles on a VFR. First engine went pop at 450,000 and by 850k the frame was starting to crack.

Bloody hell that's good to know! :smt003

The outside of the engine looks pretty crappy, but mechanically it's completely sound. It feels almost as stable banked over as a ZXR400!

I have no idea what's been done to it, but I should imagine the suspension has been refreshed fairly recently...

That's the only thing I didn't like about the ZXR400 - things break on it!

Although, having said that, other 400's seem to be at least as bad and more often worse, and the thrills and fun are worth paying out for! :smt004

32k on my J reg 750j2 and runs sweet as a nut, only problem with it is the clutch switch comes loose occasionally and has to be pushed back in to start the thing.

16k on my K reg 400L3 looked a little tatty on the extremities when i got it but both bikes now look nice and clean. goes like toad off a stick too.

The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
