New ZXR400 - Please Kawasaki!!

Post by Leemc2004 »

Really want Kawasaki to build a new ZXR400...

It could be like the ZX-10R, but a 400! A new ZX-4R...

You reckon if enough people ask for one they might consider it?

Aprilia are bringing out a RSV450.. :D

Problem is in the RXV and SVX its a race engine. It needs cam chain / bearings / rings every 30 hours.

Fair enough for the likes of me who expect that level of maintenance as I dont ride on the road anymore, but for normal peeps its a bit much.

Road riders would be getting a fornightly strip down!!! Aprillia are developing a road version but you can expect to see the 70 hp figure for the 450 cut a fair bit.

ECU mapping is a big pain in the butt with the current versions of the motor too, it works more like an on off switch than a throttle. If they get sorted (ie dont run out of money again) you might see an RSV 450 for 2007.

i reckon when the new licensing laws come into effect in england they might start producing more lower capacity sport bikes, there would definatly be more of a market for restricted 400's then. Imagine how little a brand spanking new zx4r would weigh :smt003 even on 33brake it'd go like toad off a stick

The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
