
I sold it to get something bigger and bought a VFR800 VTEC. It was a incredible machine with unbelievable build quality as expected from a Honda, but it was just SO BORING! It bored me so much that I sold it earlier this year and was bikeless for a few months as I funded a new car...


Then just down the road from me an advert popped up on ebay for a 1999 ZX6R G1 which had been lowsided on a local roundabout. The blokes confidence was dented and his missus wanted rid of it. I drove round to have a look on a complete whim and ended up handing over a few notes and riding it away.
I took all the plastics and tank off to have a gander around and give it a service and a well needed clean. Changed oil and filter, overhauled the brakes and popped some new pads in, rearset and indicators form breakers and repaired the fairing which had a few scrapes and a crack in it. Checked over all the other bits and bobs, insured it and now have an excellent cheap summer sports bike for an extremely low price! It had a few tasty extras fitted too including micron exhaust, braided lines front and rear, mini indicators all round, single seat unit and tinted DB screen.
This bike returns the same smile on my face that the ZXR did a few years ago. It's good to be back on a Kwak.
