Hi im after a new pipe that connects to the fuel tank (the main pipe that carries the fuel) iv looked in the manual and im a bit confused, is the pipe several bits with a fuel filter inbetween ?
I could do with the part number for the pipe and also for a bolt on the airbox that i am missing, the best way to explain it would be to remove the tank cover that has the intake pipes on and its the first screw on the left
any help would be much appreciated thanks

Re: fuel tank pipe
Any decent motor factors will have fuel pipe.......................Halfords is the best known of these but also the most expensive
From memory the air box is held together with M6 set screws..............again you might just get them in a auto factors or Halfords or even ebay
come to think of it fuel pipe will be on ebay too
If you really must have genuine parts then check the micro fiche for part numbers or phone Cradley Kawasaki and explain what it is you need.................

Oh and ask yourself this question.....................could I not have figured that little lot out with a little reasearch of my own rather than asking on here ?

I wouldn't buy any off ebay unless you know exactly what you are getting. I bought two lots off there - one of which was expensive nitrile hose - and both were a waste of money. The pipe you want is 8mm internal diameter but what you mostly get is crap with thin walls. This not only kinks dead easy thus leading to fuel starvation but the thin walls mean that it doesn't fit tight onto connections (and a clip is for extra security, not to cure a crap seal
 ).
My advice is to get to any local car spares shop and buy hose from there. You will need a bit less than 1 metre to replace the whole lot but it comes in 1 metre lengths generally - it's not worth quibbling about, 1 metre from my nearest place cost £2.99. You then cut to length using the old hose as a template. The decent stuff from the car places has an internal braid formed in the rubber and thickish walls about 2mm thick. It won't kink and it fits nice and tight.
You will not get your existing hose clips over it as it is bigger diameter. You can buy new ones from the shop - the jubilee type ones are a much better replacement.
You can do the whole job for about £6 with top quality hose. All the fuel hose should be replaced after several years so if your never has been and has gone hard this is a good time to swap out the lot. Why risk it splitting and you ending up as a fireball for a few quid?
Don't, whatever you do, buy OEM replacements or we will have to track you down and shoot you for having more money than sense. :smt013

Re: fuel tank pipe
if you read Tirptz post again you'll see he says the 8mm is bigger....................and if you use the clips he suggest it will be fine
