ah ive only got 1 years no claims, but £260 fully comp is still pretty good (just turned 20 :smt001 )

Payment protection is the biggest con ever! Companies now have to be upfront with these charges!

I'm at work just now, so can't go trawling the net too much, but have a look out there and read the horror stories of people paying for this cover... some paid without knowing, some try to claim on the cover but get caught out with the clauses/exceptions in the small print!

One of the main sites that cover it is moneysavingexpert.com - that annoying Martin Lewis fella off the telly, yes he annoying but his advice is sound!
Been there, seen it, done it...... back to a 400 ;-)

There was a recent case won against someone (I think it was Barclays) for charging someone for protection on a credit card account. I've had to cancel loads of the fkrs which just suddenly appeared on bills, so can fully understand it.

It sounds like what happened with you is exactly the same thing, so there's already a precedent set against them - so get it back off them!
