62 in a 30...... more than a little bit silly!
as everyone else has said - dont mention you have kph clocks; its more likely to do harm than good. Go to court, wear a suit, be polite and eat a hell of a lot of humble pie!!

I can't talk about speeding. Most of us can't

I'll just say good luck.

Thanks for that scott, it's true, everyone here has done it at least once, probably more, and as most people own bikes that do well in excess of 60mph in first gear they probably do it more than they think.
I tried the sites you all recomended, they were very helpful(although slagged me off for being a twat), but pretty much said I'm fecked.
What really makes me angry is although I was wrong, I know some spoilt little rich kid who has had a previous D & D ban who got to keep his licence after getting caught again because he could afford(well Daddy could) the best brief money could buy.

Side splitting stuff.
Laugh you may, but with my boyish good looks and my sweet how's your father cockney charm I will walk away with my licence and a reasonably small fine, watch this space.
I got done by a gatso in watford a few years ago-No points, no fine, all thanks to my abilty to charm the butt off of the female magistrates.
Not entirely true, I had visions of me doing that, but when I got on the stand I started shaking and developed a stutter. I think they thought I was a bit of a simpleton and took pity on me. Anyway they let me off.

i think the copper pointed out the wet so they can do you more harshly cos they will say the handling would be worse,
i would try the appology thing and ask if there was any course you could do to lessen the blow, sometimes they will let the points go if you attend a safety class or something, well they do with cars so why not bikes?

my advice is, dresssmartly. appologise and admit your in the wrong. explain how this is your only form otransport and how you need your licence to get to work and survive. My advice, get a solicitor and explain to them.
if the say about the wet road, say you were aware of this, but you were able to stop safel.
dont argue,
dont lie, and dont ride your luck.
admit your wornge and plead,
you should be fine

Thanks Steve, that's all I wanted, a little bit of posotive encouragement/help. + 1 point you. Shame one some of you.
Do you all think if I point out that my bike is only a 400 and if I wanted to go fast I could have got a much bigger bike that could do 160 + for the same sort of money? Probably no point as when I'm up on the old stand I'll just start to stutter and shake again. Bum ols.
Can you go on track days without a licence?

How much for the boots Baz?

However he will have had an ACU race licence. You will generally need one or the other to go on a trackday.

Of course I'm told it's a relatively trivial exercise to obtain an ACU licence. And if you are looking at racing rather than just trackdays you will need one anyway.

acu licence is easy,

join club, pay the acu some money, attend competitor training course (classroom day), get eye test, pay some more money, get licence

however you need to prove competency on a bike, either a certificate from a race school, or a current valid licence (even CBT will do).. what happens if you are banned im not sure.. likely the race school certificate would be required.
