If it's a bit louder than standard, they'll probably be fine - there's no actual noise test. If it's making the plaster fall off the walls of the workshop, then you'll be very lucky to get is passed.

depends on your MOT tester, most of the criteria is open to interpretation by whoever is doing the mot and some places are real monkeys where as others use a little more commonsense. My bike is always mot'd with a race can on because the tester i use doesnt think it's worth sending me home with a fail just for a can, it wastes his time with the re-test and mine. he just asks if i have a standard can at home..
