Post by banner001 »

...How many of you do it?

So far ive only been stopped from using my bike for 2 days, yesterday and today because of the ~5" of snow on the road...other than that im out in the ice, fog, rain, wind, cold and darkness of winter everyday...who else is with me?

make that 1 day...not too bad out, its actually warmer than it has been for the past month!

bit of slush, no big problem, wheeling it off the snow-packed side of the road was the hardest bit :D

Not on the ZXR400, only ridden it in the wet twice! It's been tucked up in the garage for about 2 1/2 months now just being doing maintenance on it and stuff, must've saved a packet on petrol. Although when I had my moped last year I rode all through the winter, really light light compared to the ZXR and didn't drop it when drifting about in the snow pretending I was a speedway driver! :smt003 :smt005

shocking only twice in the rain...for me thats "going to work" and "coming back" :D

petrols not that much for us, only burn through about £35 a month...so its still cheaper than a bus ticket...

Haha yes well really I only use it for fun and the occasional travel to grandparents etc, but I did something daft like 1000miles in no time after I got it and spent at least £200 in one month on petrol - what can I say, I loved riding it!

I did 11 Winters on sportsbikes of various kinds, and looking back have no idea how I survived! ;D Good fun, but I wouldn't do it again!

I finally took and passed my car license just over a year ago, and so had the last 2 Winters on four wheels. Part of me misses riding on the snow, to be honest. Luckily I did get my last few snow rides on cam:
