Re: Who's interested in FI?
I have been doing a bit of digging.
All throttle bodies will be spaced to far apart to use the OE boot style necessitating a manifold to meet the wider spaced bores
OE throttle bodies 32mm diameter 70mm center to center
03-04 ZX636 TB 38mm 75mm center to center
07 ZX6R 38mm 75mm <-$50! Ebay 8 injectors trying to find flow rates for uppers vs lowers
03 YZF R6 TB 38mm 72.5mm center to center
Fuel injectors you are shooting for about 110cc to 135cc or 11-14lbish. You guys would have a better junkyard selection due to America not getting the FI stuff until years after you if at all and the smaller displacement engines.
Options have found so far
90s BMW 325E injectors 13lbs <-cheapest
08-09 ex250 130cc need 4 <- preferable
Fuel pump from a Suzuki LT-R450 quad seems reasonable and easy to adapt without hacking the tank. External style. <-$100
I'm unemployed at the moment so this is all academic until I find a job. Although I have an underemployed machinist that loves tinkering so I may try to get a crank trigger and manifold made...you know for academic reasons. Anyone serious about doing this AND have the money?

Re: Who's interested in FI?
hehe, i'm in the same boat. I'm employed, but only just. Jobs in the bike industry around here are like trying to find teeth on a dodo!

I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).

Re: Who's interested in FI?
Hi,
My name is Fernando, I´m from Argentina, so apologize for my english.
I know that this thread is old, but I´m very very intrested to install EFI to my ZXR 400 H1 '90. I´m reading a lot about it, and making a list of thing to buy. I'd like to replace the CDI too, so I should install a new ignition system.
- Microsquit
- ZX6R throttle bodies and injectors
- Wideband lambda sensor
- High presure fuel pump
- Intake Air temperature sensor
- MAP
- Knock sensor
- Cramshaft position sensor
What else ?
