Yeppers,
just make sure the wires dont catch on anything,
draw the power from the + side of the brake switch, this way when the ignition is off whatever is plugged into it wont drain the battery.
make sure it is all very very water/weather proof

oh if you look under the tank there's a large block connector, with a brown wire bypassing it via a bullet connector. this is the main 12v line (headlamps etc), and is only live when the ignition's on, so avoiding inadvertantly draining the zxr's tiny battery. As for mounting, you could bolt/screw it to the plastic air box cover (where the two fake ram air hoses go into the tank). It's plastic, non-structural, and is only held on my three little screws. easy-peasy.

I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).

They sell an iphone mounting and case on ebay not sure where you could mount it bit it does come with a range of fixings its also waterproof and if that fails mayby a tank bag? I once taped my iphone onto my yoke nut.
