Totally agree about the whole true worth thing of ZXR's, but I ain't gonna be the one to change it, and I'm amazed the race results haven't.
Anyway, back on topic, why use an old crappy Blade engine? Well, I mean I know they're cheaper, obviously, but the way I see it any engine conversion is a pretty big job, so why do it half-assed?
Get a modern Blade engine in there - even any 1000cc from the last 5 or even 10 years, and THAT would be something!
I paid £1500 for the 444cc conversion of my ZXR. Was it worth it? Hell yes! But being sensible I could have sold the ZXR for around £1000 and added that money and got something much faster, newer, and generally better. With hindsight, I'm afraid that's what I should have done...
I hope you do manage to find buyers, though, because I love the whole concept, either way. Good luck!

lol, you cant just hold out for a bike to go for more money, you sell it for what you think is fair. 2k for a ZXR 400 with a blade engine is a bloody good price i imagine, would that make the bike road legal, also how would you go about insuring it???
Remember speed kills, so does smoking, drinking, drugs, fast food and many more good things
