Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
http://m.sportrider.com/news/146_12070_ ... index.html
All happened in the last 24hrs, if he has then I really wanna see him back up the front, when he won, it's not like stoner does and wins it by 30seconds, it's always relatively close, especially with Lorenzo!
And before anyone says it - he's past his time - I beg to differ, Biaggi and Checa, both in their 40s and still racing and winning.

Re: Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
bear in mind that Cal is an all or nothing rider, that will put him in good stead for the duke. having Audi backing that ducati will be fast as f*** and will handle next year
however when most were saying Spies was a dick for going back to WSB, i reckon its a genius move - motogp is shite now, not enough riders!
WSB will overtake GP, all ready for Rossi's move to WSB in 2015 on the new Yamaha R1
gem

Re: Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
nice observations there Gem!
I eat humble pie as it has come to pass that Rossi is back at Yam - about time too as his ride at Ducati was a pretty bike but a pretty sh**e bike too!
Gutted for Guy Martin at Armoy though - a really nifty move but lost the lead and came second
  Lousy conditions but good racing!

Re: Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
and its generally a procession up to mid race distance, then a few moves the pack resettles, everybody gaps everyone else and it goes back to a procession...plus its over £60 for a ticket, BSB can be had for £15, WSB for £25...im only 20 minutes from silverstone, guess which races im gonna watch when i can take my and the missus to both bsb and wsb for the cost of 1 GP ticket...Gemini wrote:bear in mind that Cal is an all or nothing rider, that will put him in good stead for the duke. having Audi backing that ducati will be fast as f*** and will handle next year

Re: Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
so it looks likely that dovi will sign 2 year contract to ducati, with crutchlow heading up a factor-spec ducati in a semi-sattelite "junior" team with a view to taking haydens place in 2014...

Re: Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
if Cal has a decent management team and Dovi goes to ducati then Cal should stay at Tech3 as that bike is good.
failing that he should go back to WSB

Re: Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
i think cal's best bet is to stick in tech3 for next year, see what the ducati developes like, if its good try to go for haydens spot in 2014, if not (and i suspect so) if it was me, i would see how marquez copes with the factory honda, hope that bradle finishes low in the points in 2013 and see about a move to honda.Gemini wrote:if Cal has a decent management team and Dovi goes to ducati then Cal should stay at Tech3 as that bike is good.

yamaha have lorenzo and rossi now until 2014, cant see either moving on after, unless its to wsb...

Re: Rossi confirmed return to Yamaha
Rossi has moved to Yamaha as they want him to help develop the WSB bike for his move in 2015.
Rossi has always said he wants to race production bikes at some point so he'll follow on like Melandri, Checa and Biaggi did.
personally i cant see Lorenzo putting up with Rossi as a team mate, Lorenzo will know he's gonna have his work cut out to beat Rossi, dont look good for the number 1 rider getting beat by his team mate
