Re: Not a happy bunny
What i mean is there are two sets of seals, the dust seal which is the one you see at the very bottom of the stantion and the oil seal which is behind it and further up the stantion.
Changing the dust seal wont fix a leaky oil seal.

The only other option could be that the sliders are bent and is ruining the seals almost instantly.

Re: Not a happy bunny
Even a tiny bit of pitting or damage to the chrome can cause the seal to fail.......
A new seal will fail regardless of it's newness
Ask your self this question.................what caused the seal to fail in the first place and was action taken to correct it ?

Re: Not a happy bunny
had problems with my seals everymot for 4 or 5 yeas. i went somwhere else and they said the seals were ripping because the forks had a bi of pitting not the type of seals. not sure how to sort it apart from rechroming.

Pleased to hear its sorted, cheap monkeys. And i suppose they charged you for genuine parts? Hopefully they arent recharging you for a job that should have been done properly in the first place.

No they replaced it for free as he admitted it was the seals at fault
