Post by edhall92 »

Hey, Im in the process of improving my zxr400L, so far ive ordered a chain and sprocket with +1 tooth at the rear and -1 at the front k&n high flow air filter ect.. and was after any more ways, apart from extreamly major work, to improve the performance. Any suggestions?

Yes - don't fit the K&N filter unless you intend spending £100+ at a dyno having some runs and your carbs rejetted, as otherwise your bike will run like shite. After you've had it rejetted it will put out about the same sort of power it is doing now. Result = total waste of money.

HTH.

How many times do we have to repeat on here that K&N filters are not a plug and play modification and are only of any use in conjunction with tuning work? banghead
